Adding A Touch of Christmas to Your Home Staging

Blog by Parry Lagler & Associates | December 6th, 2017

You’re listing your home during the holidays and now you have to decide whether or not to bring out the Christmas decorations. I say “go for it”, but remember that the rules of home staging still apply. You want your home to feel warm and inviting, so keep it simple and don’t over clutter the whole house with Christmas.
I really like what our clients have done with their fireplace & mantle, in the featured photo. They chose decorations with a neutral colour palate that complement the rest of the home. It’s classy and it gives the home a good holiday vibe.
If you have a large tree, that takes up a good portion of real estate in your living room, maybe keep that packed away and opt for smaller clusters of decorations throughout the house. This way, potential buyers can get a better feeling of the space and you will still be able to enjoy a bit of that holiday spirit.

We work with Pam Fieber at Edit Home Staging. She helps our clients with DIY furniture & accessory placement to vacant home staging. Her eye for detail is sure to enhance and showcase your home to potential buyers. For more information, on home staging, check out edithomestaging.ca
